Dr. LeAnne Froese grew up in a small farming community in Southern Alberta, Canada. It is here that her love of animals began as she became actively involved in 4-H and spent many hours training her border collie, Scooter, in agility. After graduating from high school she moved to North Dakota where she gained a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Dr. Froese later received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University.
Dr. Froese joined the Pet Medical Center team in 2010. She and Dr. Finnegan purchased the practice a year later in 2011. In 2014 they purchased Root River Vet Center in Preston, MN and she works full time at that sister location. LeAnne is married with three children, Isaiah, Aubrey and Lander. They have two Australian shepherds, Cowboy and Maple, and three cats, Gabby, Hope and Bo. Dr. Froese finds the veterinary profession very rewarding as it allows her to combine her love for animals with her passion for teaching and people. Dr. Froese’s professional interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry and small mammal medicine.
In her spare time, Dr. Froese is known to take in sick or orphaned kittens and nurse them back to health so that they can later be adopted. You may have enjoyed watching these kittens play in the front store window. It is always exciting to see them find loving homes. Dr. Froese also enjoys gardening, the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
